Ruffneck The Lost Remix
Peter Primiani and Tyrone Solomon are true patriarchs of the Toronto underground dance music scene. Getting there start DJ’ing high school dances and local venues, they went on to promote and build the House music scene as we know it today. From there, after hours warehouse parties and there long time residency, Thunder Groove, at the Oz night club where they introduced Canada to the likes of Frankie Knuckles, Robert Owens, Masters at Work, Roger Sanchez, Barbara Tucker, Ten City and Todd Terry just to name a few. In 1994 Peter and Tyrone launched there now internationally respected record label 83 West Records which has been responsible for launching some of house music’s biggest names such as Dj Sneak and Gene Farris. 83 West is up to 50 releases and have spinned off a sister label Camouflage Recordings that cater to a more complicated harder sound to show their versatility. Between both labels it is hard to find a DJ who isn’t playing their music. Still based in their hometown of Toronto, Peter and Tyrone are focused on building the brands by continuously pumping out great hard-hitting sounds while helping to develop and discover new artists. World renowned, this small Canadian label has grown to be one of the largest house music labels out of Canada, and one of the best quality labels on the scene. It is an honour and pleasure to feature Canada’s true house music visionaries, 83 West’s Peter and Tyrone, on a Mi Casa Records release.
